What this policy covers
This policy is about the public ContextFriend website. It is not the privacy documentation for ContextFriend running in a school: there, the school or operator is the controller for classroom data, that data stays on their own machine, and we do not receive it.

Cookies
This site sets no cookies when you load a page, which is why there is no consent banner. Campaign parameters and click ids live in sessionStorage on your own device until you submit a form; then they are stored with your request. Your language choice lives in localStorage.
Ads measurement
There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag and no advertising script of any kind on this site. If you tick the optional ads-measurement box and then confirm your request, we send a hashed version of your email address together with the campaign parameters from your visit to the ad platform, from our own server. Nothing about your school, your phone number or your message is included. Leaving the box unticked changes nothing about how the site works for you.
US visitors, FERPA and COPPA
TamerinTECH does not host education records. In a school deployment the school remains the FERPA controller for classroom data, which never reaches us. This marketing website only processes the contact details of adult school staff who ask about a pilot. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and you can object or withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@context-friend.com — we look requests up by email address and aim to complete them within 30 days. Note that an encrypted backup taken before an erasure may still contain your data until it rolls off after seven days. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
Transfers outside the EU
By default there are none. If you opt into ads measurement, the hashed data described above goes to Google and/or Meta under standard contractual clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
No profiling, no sale
We do not make automated decisions about you, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent data.
Hosting
The site runs on a single server in the European Union, operated on our behalf by our hosting provider under a data processing agreement.
